My name is Katherine Dietz Castano and I am a freelance Graphic Designer, and Illustrator living in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle, WA. I’m the principal creative at both Hello June Prints and its subsidiary company Castano Design. I would describe my work at Hello June Prints as a mix of whimsical, clever, and pretty. I would say I’m definitely still a kid at heart (my favorite place in the world is Disneyland and I still am a hardcore Harry Potter fan #TeamHufflepuff) and I draw inspiration from fairytales, books, and anything that sparks imagination. My greatest hope is that my work brings people happiness and makes them smile.
I have a strong design foundation created through both my experience as a Graphic Designer at a prominent consulting firm and from my freelance Graphic Design experience. After working in the corporate world for a number of years I recently took the plunge to pursue freelancing full time. My eye for design is also supported by my Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising from WSU and Graphic Design and Adobe Suite classes taken at the School of Visual Concepts.
